20XX - Hawk Character DLC Free Download

Updated: Mar 17, 2020

About This Content This DLC introduces Hawk, a powerful playable Contractor capable of using 20XX's awesome Powers to the fullest. Hawk wields the sinister Siphon, a whip-like Primary Weapon capable of stealing energy from foes to fuel her Powers. Hawk also has five unique Powers that only she can wield - from the self-aiming Seeking Striker to the high-flying Blastjump, mastery of these Powers pushes Hawk to heights previously not seen in 20XX. (NOTE: The Hawk DLC enables Hawk for your play. When playing online, you'll be able to use Hawk, even if your partner doesn't have the DLC. The rest of the changes made in 1.12 are free for all players, and are part of the base game.) 1075eedd30 Title: 20XX - Hawk Character DLCGenre: Action, IndieDeveloper:Batterystaple Games, Fire Hose GamesRelease Date: 12 Feb, 2018 20XX - Hawk Character DLC Free Download Fun and one of the best dlcs i have ever seen. Simon Belmont? In a Megaman game? I need to stop playing like Zero to play her.... Good concept, poor execution. Hawk focuses on boss powers, and as such has a lot of options. The problem is that Hawk is less of a "jack of all trades" and more a "master of none", as boss powers in this game are often not useful in battle and just don't compare to the basic attacks of the other characters. He is very weak by default and requires more skill to master, but using the right combination of skill and strategy he can become... a little less weak. This is a prime example of a mistake even experienced developers sometimes make - giving a character a ton of weak abilities, wrongly believing that will make up for their lack of sheer strength and one or two great abilities.. i liked the part where i bypassed stages because of blastjump. Reasonable price for an entirely new and unique character that can fundamentally change how you play the game. While I don't personally care for Hawk's playstyle, they're still a lot of fun to use.. I guess I have to be the one to say it. I have mixed feelings about this DLC. Overall I feel that if you really want more content, go for it. I've marked this as something I wouldn't reccomend, but for the most part that's because I couldn't find a negative review and most of the time when I look at negative reviews it's to see what I might not like about a product.Let's get one thing straight: This DLC is "okay". I don't think it's good, but I don't think it's bad either. I think it has a lot of flaws and honestly the biggest one is that this is probably the weakest character in the entire game. She starts off with a gun power and a melee attack. The issue I have with this is that starting off she's just plain trash. I'm talking about "So bad that you could end a run on the 1st or even second level" bad. I'll admit that I'm not that amazing at melee combat, but her starting power is so absolute garbage that it comes down to a dice roll on what powers you get to replace it.Hawk is a character that's supposed to be centric on powers, which is cool and all, but she doesn't have anything unique about her aside from the powers unique to her and her weapon, and honestly I think they dropped the ball with how they approached this.I will explain this as if you've never played the game before for over explaining's sake. Every character in the game has multiple weapons, yeah? Hawk has one weapon and a bunch of powers. Seems fitting for a character based on powers, right? Not really, and I'll explain. Hawk doesn't do anything any other character can't do. Energy useage has always been a non-issue for me. Maybe if I over rely on a special early on when you have like 10 energy, but aside from that? I've -never- had an issue with any sort of energy. Enemies drop energy in hoards, and honestly I just don't run out of energy ever. Why is this an issue? Hawk's melee attack's draw is that you get... additional energy. Only problem is you'll usually have something like 40 energy by the end of a run anyways and every other character is just as fine at managing their energy anyways. So you basically have a really weak melee weapon that requires you to get in on an enemy to use it, does far less damage than other characters, and has to rely on specials (Which often times don't even do as much damage as normal attacks unless you're hitting weak points if I'm being completely honest) and for what? Infinite energy that every other character already has? I would have loved for weapons that change how you play with special attacks, but unfortunately we didn't get anything like that. Now you can skip every level though, so I guess that's a plus. Guess using the explosive jump to skip the entire level is why you need the whip. Now you can just carelessly use your special. Now that I've established that Hawk's weapon is pointless, and that they needed variety, I'll talk about the specials that are unique to Hawk... They're pointless too. They seem to be versions of weapons that already exist, and aren't really worth your time. Remember that starting power Hawk gets? Feel free to toss that at any time. Homing missile? Okay thanks. I guess I don't need to incorperate any form of skill anymore. Flame attack? Would be neat if it didn't require you to get closer than a melee attack does. The machine gun special achieves the same exact thing except you're safer, and can pull off cool stuff like flying by shooting down. The floor fire thing? Kind of cool. The explosive jump is broken though and it just allows you to skip the entire level, making the Wily stages ezpz. Kind of pointless, and is really just a less RNG way of getting the mobility upgrades that make platforming a breeze, especially when you consider those upgrades have to take up a slot that could be dedicated to something that helps you in combat, you know? Just feels cheap. This character wrestles between being over powered and being weak as ♥♥♥♥. They can't quite get the right balance down, and that's just a shame because the character could be so much more. It's just sad because overall they play worse than the other two characters, but you have to pay extra for them. There are some broken aspects to this character, but overall I can only reccomend it if you were dissatisfied with how energy attacks work and want a way to fully spec into it as early as possible.. Die monster! You don't belong in this world!. I got this expecting it to be massively OP based on what other people were saying, but Hawk is actually pretty well balanced and a lot of fun to play. If you've got a few bucks lying around, give it a shot.. Fun additional character. Correctly priced and will continue support for such a fantastic game.Looking forward to more DLC:- New level sets, variations on current levels- New enemies- New bosses- New characters.I'd like to see entire scenario sets for sale for 5.99$- Boss, level, enemies. Honestly this was the first time i got the dlc just to support the makers because these guys deserve it.
